• Completes preventative maintenance requirements and repairs on feed yard equipment including but not limited to feed trucks, tractors, loaders, and heavy equipment.
• Identifies issues with equipment through communication with departments and supervisors and by observation of equipment.
• Follows all safety regulations and policies, especially adhering to specific equipment safety regulatory requirements.
• Assesses departmental needs for tools and parts by researching costs and determining the best solutions for repairs and maintenance understanding financial impacts.
• Works within an approved budget while developing and implementing cost savings measures.
• Maintains professional and technical knowledge of supplies and equipment.
• Participates in project meetings regarding maintenance and equipment.
• Keeps shop clean and maintained.
• Teamwork and efficiency are expected as well as assisting in various departments of the feed yard when     necessary.  
• Follows all Dinklage safety policies, procedures, and keeps up to date with safety regulations and requirements.
• Professionalism is expected including courtesy and respect to team members, customers, and vendors.

• Knowledge of heavy equipment maintenance and repairs.
• Ability to comprehend and apply safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and other procedural manuals.
• Ability to troubleshoot and solve problems with machinery and equipment.
• Ability to use and understand a variety of software applications.
